This course is designed for both the implant surgeon and the restorative dentist. With implant dentistry becoming mainstream in daily dental practice, it is imperative for the general dentist to rationalize dental implants as a treatment option, successfully treat implant cases and understand the science of implant surgery and restoration. To achieve optimal goals of the surgical/restorative connection in dental implant treatment, it is mandated to have close communication between the implant surgeon and the restorative dentist. This course will focus on the philosophy and criteria associated with restoratively-driven treatment planning for predictable surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
  • Evaluate, correctly diagnose and treat patients for implant therapy
  • Sequence surgical implant placement and restorative procedures for a successful outcome
  • Select the appropriate implant and apply the principles of restoratively-driven treatment planning
  • Utilize contemporary diagnostic tools to visualize and develop predictable esthetic and functional outcomes
